Post of the Month

Istrian Belgondrin
Lowering Altitude

1) Inspiration for post.
Weather. Music. Anything... When I feel like writing, I check the storyline and just... write.

2) Writing Philosophy. (basically what you think makes a good story)
Good story must have a well-thought plot, to the detail. Then it also needs a good use of language, to accurately and nicely describe your ideas.

3) What makes a great Hero?
It doesn't really matter what characteristics the hero has. It's just the writer's attitude towards the char that makes a hero.

4) ... Villian?
Same for villain. See, Istrian has very few positive characteristics. But you still see him a hero. *draws sword* Or not?!

5)How do you get yourself in the mood to write?
Depends. It's rather that something random gets me in the mood than that I would specifically try to.

6) What authors influence your work?
Ehh... Sapkowski, Geoff, to name just two.

7) Which is the enemy of humankind? Smooth or Crunchy peanut butter? Why?
Won't be much help on this one, don't eat peanut butter... Would go for the Smooth. Dunno why, maybe 'cause I'm nuts. *g*

8) If a publisher came to you and wanted to publish something you wrote, what would you write about?
*ponders* Hmmm... Probably I'd use Guided by Voices or some of Istrian's posts. Can't really say, though...

9) How do you overcome writer's block? (some of us could use a few pointers)
Haven't figured out yet, see Jainie's storyline. *grimaces*

10) IF you could live in any time period which would it be?
Today or ancient Rome.

11) Which is the better pratical joke, a whoopie cushion, a joy buzzer or a rubber chicken? Please explain.
After failing to figure out what these are... Whoopie cushion. Joy buzzer sounds strange, rubber chicken sounds infant-ish.

12) If you could co-author a novel with any author, who would it be?
People of the site. Jacy, Geoff, Genia, Todd, Dylan... goes much further.

13) What was the greatest thing before sliced bread?
Piano, guitar, books or paper clip. Can't decide.

14) What music do you like to listen to while writing?
Pink Floyd if it's a rather pesimistic/depressive post with a lot of emotion or fighting, jazz and such for the optimistic ones.

15) What are you currently reading?
My answers over. And Japanese textbook. And On the Blade of Steel, by M. Zamboch (Czech author).
